Attractions
The river is lined with a large number of famous temples and prominent Thailand tourist attractions such as Wat Arun and Wat Po. Sunning elevated views are offered from Sky Bar and Balco Bar and Three Sixty at Millennium Hilton, and these are great places to take a date when you really want to impress. There are also plenty of more modest riverside bars to choose from in areas such as Phra Artit and Thewet.

Asiatique The Riverfront is a vibrant entertainment zone that can be found on the opposite side of the river to the Saphan Taxsi pier. Visitors can take a free boat from this pier to enjoy everything from shopping to riverside dining, drinking and vibrant stage shows. The Patravadi Theatre can also be found on the far bank of the Chao Phraya River close to Siriraj Hospital and offers riverside dining and theatrical performances.
Getting Around
Public ferries run along the Chao Phraya River and stop at most of the major attractions including Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. These ferries connect with the BTS at Saphan Taksin, making it possible to reach the river for just a few Baht. Saphan Taksin station also connects with the BTS line, which means that the river can be reached quickly and conveniently from most sections of the city.
