THAILAND CLIMATE

CLIMATE – FOR GOLF IN THAILAND

All the year-round tropical climate plays a very favourable situation for Golfers. Mainly there are 3 distinct seasons – Hot, from March to May, Green from June to October and Cool-season from November to February. The Cool season, with average temperatures ranging between 35.5° Centigrade (96° Fahrenheit) to 16° Centigrade (62° Fahrenheit) with clear skies and light breezes is the favourite for global golfers and is considered to be the peak season.

During the hot season, which begins in March, daytime temperatures can reach 40° Centigrade (104°Fahrenheit). The best time to play would be very early in the morning or late afternoon, avoiding the hottest glares of the sun. Rainfall is scarce mostly still it prevails from May to October and some incessant rains do occur till March. Temperature and climate vary accordingly with September being the worst month for playing golf. Mean annual temperatures are between 25° – 28° Centigrade (77° – 82° Fahrenheit).
